Patrick Phillips (Makah and Quileute) makes fun and whimsical, and sometimes profound metal sculptures, upcycled from his recycling yard (Midway Recycling in Tumwater, Washington). We're happy to promote his work. Appreciate his ability to find the necessary lines in pieces of metal that anyone else would just throw away. This thunderbird is a collaborative work between Patrick and Robert Upham, and is a tribute to Pappy Boyington, making reference to his time as a Prisoner of War (represented by the Thunderbird and bullets as well as the religious medal which references Boyington's story about a religious medal which protected him during his imprisonment). This scupture is about 4" tall by about 7" wide.
