Sacred Circles: Two Thousand Years of North American Art

 "Sacred Circles". In 1977, there was a huge exhibition of North American Indian Art held at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, called "Sacred Circles: Two Thousand Years of North American Art". More than 700 items, pulled from private and museum collections throughout the world. Many pieces had not been in Turtle Island since they were "collected" in the 18th and 19th centuries. This is the catalog of that exhibition. Not only is this a pictorial catalogue of our art and sacred items, but it is also a comprehensive list of collectors and collections where many of them are still held throughout the earth.
