This is a good starting point for anyone just starting to sew, and it is also a good way for us to appreciate each others' styles. There's quite a bit of history interwoven into this book, appreciating how versatile we've always been, and how our styles evolve, always with our own flair (the Navajo blanket dress, and the navajo tiered velvet skirt are examples). There are enough patterns and illustrations of entry-level embroidery designs, entry-level seminole-style patchwork, etc, to keep you experimenting for a long time.
